Getting paid with Marble
Co-counseling with Marble means you’ll spend zero time chasing clients for payments and more time running your law firm. Here’s everything you need to know about getting paid with Marble.
How you'll get paid
Your payments with Marble are tied to the services our clients receive.
Marble will pay you a third of your payout upfront after you complete your new client call. You’ll receive the remaining fee after the service is completed and you’ve properly closed the case via Lawmatics, our case delivery platform.
Please keep in mind that you’ll be paid upon completion of all services related to a specific Marble Agreement, not individual services. So, for example, if your Marble Agreement includes a divorce petition and requesting temporary orders, you’ll need to complete both to receive payment.
When you'll get paid
Marble distributes divisions of fees on the 7th and 21st of each month.
Please make sure you've set up your direct deposit information through Routable. An invite is sent to you prior to your first expected payout.

How to get paid for additional services (addendums)
Taking on additional services is a great way to continue supporting your client while generating revenue for your practice quickly. You'll save time meeting new clients, conducting a strategy review call, and gathering paperwork by continuing to work with a client you already know.
When you continue working with the same client on an additional service, you’ll go through the same process with a newly signed Marble agreement, with the exception of the new client call. This means you will get the first share of the client’s fee as soon as the client signs the agreement without needing to perform the new client call or submit another new client call form in Lawmatics.

Why you may have received a deduction
You will receive a deduction if you did not fully complete the service you were contracted to do. This can happen in situations where certain scopes were changed or downgraded, eliminating the need to complete them. Another situation where you may see a deduction is if you can no longer represent the client and need Marble to change the representation in your case.
What to do if a scope was swapped or downgraded
Since the client will no longer need this service and you will no longer need to provide it, you will not be paid for it and will see a deduction for the amount that has been paid. If the original service is replaced with a different service, you will see an initial payout for the new service as soon as the client signs the new agreement.
What happens if you need to drop a client
Dropping a client means Marble will need to re-assign the case to a new attorney. The new attorney who completed the service/s will be the one getting paid for it, and you will see a deduction for the amount that was paid.
What happens when a client disengages with Marble
In the case where a client disengages with Marble, you’ll receive an email notification letting you know that the client will no longer require your services. You’ll be paid according to the work you completed. Please make sure to communicate the work you’ve completed to your legal team.
