Keeping your calendar up to date is key to making sure you receive client meetings that fit your true availability. Marble lets you sync not only your primary calendar but also any connected calendars, such as MyCase or shared personal calendars. This ensures your availability in Marble always reflects your real schedule.

How It Works

If you haven't synced your primary calendar yet:

  1. In your Marble Home, click on your profile icon/initials.

  2. Click on Profile & settings.

  3. Under the Work preferences tab, scroll down to Calendar sync.

  4. Click on Sync calendar, then select your email provider and follow their access-granting instructions.

  5. Once connected, if we find other calendars connected to your account, you’ll see a pop-up asking you to select which other calendars you’d like to turn on.

    • Note: Other calendars will appear with the original names you gave them, so it’s easy to recognize them.

  6. Turn on any other calendars you want us to consider for your availability.

  7. Click Done.

  8. All meeting invitations will continue to be sent to your primary calendar.

If you’ve already synced your primary calendar:

  1. In your Marble Home, click on your profile icon/initials.

  2. Click on Profile & settings.

  3. Under the Work preferences tab, scroll down to Calendar sync > Other calendars.

  4. Click Manage other calendars.

    • Note: Other calendars will appear with the original names you gave them, so it’s easy to recognize them.

  5. Turn on any other calendars you want us to consider for your availability.

  6. Click Done.

  7. All meeting invitations will continue to be sent to your primary calendar, just like today.

Note: You can turn other calendars on and off whenever by going to the Other calendars area in your profile & settings and clicking Manage other calendars.

Edge Cases & Things to Know

  • Multiple other calendars: You can select more than one other calendar to sync. Marble will block off availability if any of your selected calendars show you as busy.

Personal Calendars, Holidays, and Time Off

You can also sync personal other-calendars (such as family or vacation schedules) if they’re connected under the same email account. While some major national holidays (like Christmas) may be automatically blocked by our team, you should always make sure these holidays — along with any additional holidays, religious observances, or personal time off — are also blocked in your own calendar.

👉 Important: For Marble to recognize the time as unavailable, events in your primary or other calendars must be marked as Busy. If they’re marked as Free, Marble will not block them off. Read more here.

For example, many calendar providers add a holiday calendar by default, but the events are often set to Free. In this case, you’ll need to go into your calendar settings and change those events to Busy, so they also appear as unavailable in Marble. Always double-check your Marble Home calendar to confirm that those days are blocked correctly. Please note it may take a few minutes before the changes appear in your Calendar tab.

  • Different email addresses: Only calendars under the same synced account can be selected.

  • Primary calendar only for invites: Even if you sync multiple sub-calendars, invitations from Marble will always go to your primary calendar.

  • Changing your selection: You can update which sub-calendars are synced at any time from your profile settings. It may take a few minutes for updates to show in your Calendar tab — if you don’t see the changes right away, wait a few minutes and check again. If it still doesn’t update, please contact us here.

Best Practices

  • Sync all calendars that impact your availability — both professional and personal.

  • Events from these calendars will appear in Marble Home as “busy” slots only. Marble does not have access to the event details.

  • Regularly check your synced calendars to make sure they’re up to date.

  • Before major holidays or vacations, confirm in Marble Home that those days show as unavailable.

Troubleshooting

  • I don’t see my other calendars.
Try resyncing your calendars through your profile settings under the Calendar Sync section. If it still doesn’t work, please contact us here.

  • I selected the wrong calendars.
Go to your profile settings → Calendar → Edit selection, and update.

  • My meetings still overlap with another calendar.
Double-check that the relevant sub-calendar is selected and appears as Busy in your personal calendar and synced. If the issue continues, contact us here.
