How to Handle Skip Traces and Additional Service Attempts

If your client needs a skip trace or an additional service attempt, please follow the below steps:

Premier
1. Let your client know that a skip trace or additional service attempt is needed.
2. Have your paralegal complete the job by assigning them a task

a. Go to the Client's case overview page
b. Select "Quick actions"
c. Select "Create a task"
d. Choose the task from the dropdown menu*


3. Once the task has been completed, the finance team will reach out to the client for reimbursement of the cost.


Core
1. Let your client know that a skip trace or additional service attempt is needed.
2. Use your Ramp card to pay for the skip trace or additional service attempt. 3. Once the receipt has been submitted, the finance team will reach out to the client for reimbursement of the cost.

NOTE: We previously had “Skip Trace” and “Additional Service Attempt” services that could be added as addendums. We no longer have these services; please follow the steps above if either is needed.
